Creating a New HR Operating Model
Over the coming weeks we will be discussing one of the burning issues for HR, Creating a New HR Operating Model, but this is ‘no mean feat’. Outdated practices need reinventing, but with the flexibility to continue to adapt in an agile fashion, as we continue in a state of continuous transformation and move away, as Josh Bersin says, from episodic change.
Stepping up to this task is Perry Timms, previously HR Magazines Most Influential Thinker. He will be taking a ‘deep dive’ into what is needed to create a new HR.03 Operating Model and how can we collaborate and co-create this as a profession.
Thomas offer a game changing solution

If it looks interesting, we have even better news…

Ensuring DEI&B Best Practice
We feel it's never been more important to ensure we are treating our diverse workforces fairly, participatively and kindly. With lots of people concerned about these matters, how can we support our employees and ensure our DEI&B practices are bringing our people closer together and creating great cultures.
With this in mind, we feel it's a timely introduction to our ‘go to’ expert in this space. Mr Atif Choudhury who is an inspirational fountain of knowledge when it comes to all things regarding DEI&B.
He has become more than just a business partner for us and has helped us to question, explore, understand and grow in this space. We hope that he can also do the same for you. He assists organisations with deep seated knowledge of the subject matter, compassion, reason and integrity. He turns complex issues into simpler and more understandable matters, but also with pragmatic & actionable ways forward.

Transformation appears to be the key challenge across all of our HR Director clients, so we are over the moon to have Erik Korsvik Østergaard, joining the Working Futures fold this season. Erik is a World-renowned Futures Thinker and Leadership Advisor, Seasoned Podcast Host, Keynote Speaker & 2x Author.
With Transformation & Uncertainty, the two hot topics on all the HR Directors lips we are speaking to, wouldn’t it be nice if we had a time machine, to jump into the future and be able to see what the future holds? Well, we have the next best think, Erik! He will be running a Futures Thinking session, to jump into the future, image what working life might look like and then back cast, to see how we either secure a future we love the look or or ensure a future we hate the sound of, doesn't occur.

KeenCorp’s early-warning signal of team commitment is a predictor of business performance and is highly correlated to bottom-line results. Events and leadership decisions impact company culture and business health, but this process is invisible to current control systems.
Their technology reveals cues within unconscious behavior by analyzing team communication patterns in real-time. Insights are plotted as a time-series of emotions and help to timely detect and address human risk issues such as leadership alignment, employee engagement, workplace harrassment and fraud before they impact your bottom-line.

HR applications of AI
We have the passing of a very particular and prestigious baton this year, from Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic who was Keynote Speaker at our previous Strategy Day to Bertie Tonks opening our Autumn Strategy Day in November.
Tomas, who is the Chief Innovation Officer at ManpowerGroup, a professor of business psychology at University College London and at Columbia University, co-founder of deepersignals.com, and an associate at Harvard’s Entrepreneurial Finance Lab, provided an insightful and thought-provoking keynote at the last Working Futures Strategy Day on: HR applications of AI based on I, Human: AI, Automation, and the Quest to request what makes us unique.
Hacking HR’s greatest challenges
The team at Diversity & Ability and their CEO Atif Choudhury ran our last Hackathon, in conjunction with Perry Timms and PTHR. It was superb, filled with 25 HR directors who engaged in an energetic Hack around the topic of Unlocking Potential: The intersection of inclusion and business success.
Check out the highlights of that session to hear what the attendees had to say about their experience. If this looks like something you would like to be involved in, the next Hackathon: Creating physically accessible and productive work environments, will be co-hosted again by Diversity & Ability on the 17 October in London.
According to the Gallup report, only 13% of employees in Europe are engaged at work, while 72% are not engaged and 16% are actively disengaged. Moreover, Europe has the lowest regional percentage of engaged employees and second lowest regional percentage of employees experiencing daily sadness
If you are looking to transform the dynamic and performance of teams in your organisation, improve the employee experience and therefore engagement, and create a psychologically safe environment then take a trial of the Meta Team approach.
We've found that the most engaged teams are always playing two games—a well-honed outer game arising from a highly evolved inner game. Both are essential in building a winning organisational and team culture.
